4/19/24 Still Life Process

First layer of grisaille underpainting, getting basic shapes of each part of the still life.

Refining the shapes and shadows of the painting, a couple passes of grisaille later.

Further details, removed the alien because I realized it didn't contribute much and was too small to get good details on.

Final darkening of shadows to match value better, added some stronger highlights too.

First pass of color, somewhat messed up some of the value from the grisaille.

Added the value and highlights that were lost in the first layer of color back, final product.
