As someone who read a lot of comics as a child, I really found listening to his narrative, ideamaking, and process very interesting. I think I relate a great bit to his style, so I think the things he said can positively impact my style as well. The robot comics and drawings I think in particular are extremely similar to my own work, and seeing another much more matured and developed artist's use of a very similar subject helped me understand where I could go forwards with my work to turn it into a theme I revisit more often instead of just the one-off subject of a drawing. I think Oura also uses a very similar expressive style of linemaking, which helps your eye move around the panels that he makes. Overall, I think the similarities between mine and his work really made the lecture very interesting and helpful for my own work, and I think it's always great help to understand the thought process behind a more professional artist that has art as a bigger part of their own lives.
