Process Post (In Class Project #2)

For this in class project, I am focusing on composition as my student goal, and 'dirtier' as my teacher goal. For my summer project, I think I did some interesting experimentation with getting more dirtier and messy with black around the composition, and so I think it will be interesting to explore that more. However, the copper etching I did for my summer project is quite different from the plexiglass etching I do in place, and it will be difficult to get the same kind of spotted abrasion around the scene.

So far, I have determined my composition -- an oil well. For the 'dirtier' aspect as my goal, I plan to play more with the spreading of ink on the plate, and cleaning the plate less so that the ink clouds and darkens what I want.
